We’re on our way to finishing South Road and She Doesn’t Put Up a Fight.
South Road started out as a rough demo track with Dirk’s guitar and vocals. A click track was then recorded on a separate track over the rough demo. The click track is a beat done with a shaker and is just a track to keep time throughout the song. The demo was used to make sure that the click track was in the correct tempo. We then recorded some individual tracks over the demo and the click track. The final version will have the click and the rough demo tracks removed. The lead guitar, rhythem guitar and the lead vocals have been recorded thus far.
She Doesn’t Put Up a Fight is in the final stages. The same system used in South Road to create a click track was used on this song as well. We have so far layed down the banjo, rhythm guitar, lead vocals, and a new drum/shaker/tambourine beat.
Next step: Lay on some weird sounds and master them.
